19/12/11 Witness Appeal - Fatal RTC A43 at Evenley
Northamptonshire Police are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision on the A43, between the Barley Mow and Evenley roundabout, which occurred at around 8.25am on Saturday morning (20 December).
A 62-year-old man from Bournemouth, Dorset, died after the red Seat Ibiza he was driving was in collision with central barrier before coming to a stop, partially in lane one, on the northbound dual carriageway.
The man got out of his vehicle and began to cross the carriageway on foot. He was then in collision with a blue Vauxhall Cavalier which was travelling in the same direction.
He was air lifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the Vauxhall, a 42-year-old man from Winchester, Hampshire, was uninjured.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or the initial incident when the Seat was in collision with the barrier.
