Delivering Results
A countywide campaign will launch on Monday 15 March, sharing with residents the achievements of their local Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRPs).
There are six partnerships across Northamptonshire; each one includes representatives from the county's Borough and District Council, Police, Police Authority, Council, local NHS and Fire and Rescue Service, all working together with a single aim to improve the quality of life of those living in the area.
'Results In My Area' is a campaign celebrating the achievements of what we've achieved working together in partnership to tackle anti-social behaviour and drive down crime across the county.
In Daventry and South Northamptonshire as a result of us working together last year:
- Events for young people were introduced to locations where anti-social behaviour was a local priority. The events, branded 'Soundbox', had live performances, workshops and became a platform for thought provoking conversations about drinking, drugs and contraception.
- Supported by Milton Keynes Dons Football Club, street football sessions were set up across Daventry and South Northamptonshire, to engage with young people in the area.
- Volunteers (from Churches Together) received training, funded by the local CDRP, to lead a Street Pastors programme in Daventry. The programme supports vulnerable people by signposting them to organisations across the county. The CDRP hopes to support the scheme in 2010/11 and extend the programme to Towcester and Brackley.
